Our Story
It all started on a bright and sunny day on a beach in St. Kitts in 2012. They were two young, aspiring doctors who were anxiously starting their first year of medical school.
Coincidentally, they locked eyes on the beach. At that moment, Priya instantly caught Rob’s attention. However, the same cannot be said for Priya. In fact, Priya thought nothing more of Rob than a potential friend and colleague.
As the months progressed, they became close friends. The late-night studies and being so far away from home helped solidify their friendship. They found comfort in each other and confided in one another. They had a lot in common and they would always lean on one another and lift each other up. Add that to binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for love, even if neither of them knew it yet.
Over time, Rob developed feelings for Priya that he could no longer deny. He finally expressed his feelings about a year later, which Priya rejected. After all, their friendship was too strong, and she was not willing to risk losing her best friend over anything.
Although Priya had kept Rob in the friend zone, Rob wasn’t letting up. Robert decided to invite Priya to watch "Fast and the Furious 6" at the theaters. Unsure if this was a date or a casual outing, Robert considered it a date anyway! Priya’s version is slightly different. Priya would argue this was just two friends watching a movie. The topic remains under debate, depending on who you ask.

However, they can both agree when Rob whisked Priya to an infinity pool facing the ocean in St. Kitts, with wine, homemade chocolate-covered strawberries, and Priya's delicious shepherd's pie, this was an evening that became a chapter etched in their love story. It was in this moment that their friendship emerged into a love story that no one saw coming.
While their love continued to blossom, so too did life’s stressors. But even when life would pull them apart, they always found their way back to each other. In 2019 Rob found himself moving to Dubai for a year for work, which was an obvious challenge, but it didn’t deter either of them.
In 2021, Priya moved to Chicago for school, but Rob wasn’t far behind. It seemed that history was repeating itself. Once again, they found themselves away from home and studying for their internship in medical school.
With the demands of medical school and having no one else but each other to depend on, they became closer than ever. However, like any relationship they sometimes found themselves in hard times. But with Priya’s loyalty and Rob’s perseverance, there was no stopping this power couple. It could be because of Rob’s charming and quirky personality, or maybe it was Priya’s loyalty and ability to give without expecting anything in return. Their love was undeniable. They were simply meant for each other, and everyone around them knew that it was only a matter of time.
On March 5, 2022, Rob finally decided to ask Priya to spend the rest of her life with him. This was the one decision in his life that he knew he wanted to make with full certainty. Rob got down on one knee at Hockley Valley, and a new chapter in their story began.
As their wedding day fast approaches, it is not a day about celebrating their love, it’s about joining their lives in front of their friends and family. They can’t wait to dance the night away, share their love, and embark on this beautiful adventure with you there to celebrate with them.
